Deep Insight

July 8th, 2007 by vantheek

One day, the father of a very wealthy
family took his son on a trip to the
country with the express purpose of
showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights
in the farm of what would be considered
a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the
father asked his son, "How was the
trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?"
the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from
the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered:

"I saw that we have one dog and they
had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the
middle of our garden and they have a
creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden
and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and
they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live
on and they have fields that go beyond
our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but
they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to
protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

The boy’s father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for
showing me how poor we are."

Isn’t perspective a wonderful thing?
Makes you wonder what would happen if
we all gave thanks for everything we
have, instead of worrying about what
we don’t have.

Surat dari Rio

July 4th, 2007 by vantheek

membiayai sekolahnya. Lagipula ibunya yang sedang
sakit membutuhkan biaya untuk membeli obat.
Akhirnya dia memutuskan untuk menulis surat kepada
Tuhan :

Kepada Yth
Tuhan
di Surga

Tuhan yang baik, saya mau melanjutkan sekolah, tapi
orang tua saya tidak punya uang. Ibu saya juga sedang
sakit, mau beli obat.
Tuhan saya butuh uang Rp 20.000 utk beli obat ibu, Rp
20.000 untuk membayar uang sekolah, Rp 10.000 untuk
membayar uang seragam, dan uang buku Rp 10.000.
Jadi semuanya Rp 60.000.
Terima kasih Tuhan, saya tunggu kiriman uangnya.

Dari
: Rio

Menerima uang tsb, Rio merasa sangat senang
permintaannya terkabul, walaupun yang di terima hanya
Rp 55.000,-.
Rio pun bergegas mengambil kertas dan pensil, dan
mulai menulis surat lagi :

TUHAN
LAIN KALI KALO MAU KIRIM UANG, JANGAN LEWAT
POLISI, KARENA KALO LEWAT POLISI DI POTONG RP 5.000,-

Jerk

June 18th, 2007 by vantheek

When GOD created Man n Woman, GOD also created "Jerk", just to spice matter, make life more interesting.

A JERK is hard to distinguish. They live among us, they look like us, they have jobs, they marry, and also socialize with other creature.

Characteristics
of JERKs, they borrow things n never return, they like to ruin things,
they r just simply a trouble maker. Thats why they r JERKS.

JERKS breath oxygen too, they can love too,
When JERKS die they don’t go anywhere, bcoz they have no soul.
They just "PUFF.." into thin air.

Beware,
JERKS
are contagious, they don’t born as JERKS. We can become a JERK too
sometime in our life. Its spread more rapid than HIV. No known data to
confirm how many people affected.

Damn! What Happen To My Testimonials

June 11th, 2007 by vantheek

What the f*ck! Just this day I notice that there’s something kind of bulls**t that happened in my testimonials. I don’t know what happen and I don’t know what to do on how to restore it. This totally pissed me off today…I mean, I’m actually aroused my impatience and anger. I felt I was nettled from my usual teasing of temper, which is basically not my real nature. I admit, I’m slightly dumb and stubborn sometimes but instances like this would totally freaks out almost half of my life.

I’m just human and you know what I’m talking about. But definitely, this will be a reminder that I’m too much inclined in friendster and a call to deviate my time and effort in other important things. I spend too much time in "clicks", honestly.

After all, I can still afford to smile despite of this unusual instance that brought me out to a strong feeling of displeasure, a warlike and aggressively hostile my real nature. Nevertheless, those harsh and bad-tempered words which I mentioned earlier were only spoken out of my unusual of being me.

Reflecting on true friends and family

June 10th, 2007 by vantheek

For
the past year, I have been reflecting on my life changes and events.  I
have thought thoroughly and have discovered what true friends and
family mean.  They were there in times of confusion, crisis, sadness,
and success.  My true friends and family have encouraged me and
provided me with plentiful strength and support so that I have become
who I am today. They have also taught me that there are two sides of
life.  I would like to thank all of you for showing me that the grass
is "definitely" greener on the other side. Thank you for all your love
and support!

8 Kebohongan Ibu Dalam Hidupnya

June 7th, 2007 by vantheek

Delapan Kebohongan Seorang Ibu Dalam Hidupnya

Saja, seringkali kekurangan. Ketika makan, ibu sering memberikan porsi
Nasinya untukku.

Ikan" ———- KEBOHONGAN IBU YANG KEDUA

Aku
Berkata :"Ibu, tidurlah, udah malam, besok pagi ibu masih harus
Kerja." Ibu tersenyum Dan berkata :"Cepatlah tidur nak, aku tidak
Capek" ———- KEBOHONGAN IBU YANG KETIGA

Ketika ujian tiba, ibu meminta cuti kerja supaya dapat menemaniku
Pergi ujian.
Ibu sambil menyuruhnya minum. Ibu berkata :"Minumlah nak, aku tidak
Haus!"

Kehidupan keluarga Kita
Pun semakin susah Dan susah. Tiada Hari tanpa penderitaan. Melihat

Ibu berkata : "Saya
Punya duit" ———-KEBOHONGAN IBU YANG KEENAM

Akhirnya aku pun bekerja

Setelah menjalani operasi. Ibu yang keliatan sangat tua, menatap aku
Dengan penuh kerinduan. Walaupun senyum yang tersebar di wajahnya
Terkesan agak kaku karena sakit yang ditahannya. Terlihat dengan jelas
Betapa penyakit itu menjamahi tubuh ibuku sehingga ibuku terlihat
Lemah Dan kurus kering. Aku sambil menatap ibuku sambil berlinang air
Mata.

kemudian hari.

Fixed Me

February 26th, 2007 by vantheek

When you try your best but you don’t succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can’t sleep
Stuck in reverse

When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
and ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

High up above or down below
when you too in love to let it go
If you never try you’ll never know
Just what your worth

Lights will guide you home
and ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears streaming down your face and I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face and I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Lazio

January 2nd, 2007 by vantheek

S.S. Lazio (Italian: Società Sportiva Lazio SpA) is an Italian sports clubbased in Rome. They play in light blue shirts, white shorts and socks. The name Lazio was chosen as the original founders wanted to name the club after something which was greater and encompassed more than just the city that they were from - Lazio is the name of the region in which Rome is located. The sky blue and white team colors were inspired by the Greek flag and more specifically the country which gave birth to Olympic tradition; the eagle as an acknowledgement by its founders to the symbol of the Roman Empire. S.S. Lazio is the oldest active football club in Rome.

Lazio were forcibly relegated to Serie B in 1980 due to a remarkable scandal concerning illegal bets on their own matches, along with Milan. They remained in Italy’s second division for three seasons in what would mark the darkest period in Lazio’s history. They would be return in 1983 and manage a last-day escape from relegation the following season. 1984-85 would prove harrowing, with a pitiful 15 points and bottom place finish despite the emergence of promising, though albeit unfulfilled talent of Francesco Dell’Anno and Francesco Fonte.

In 1986, Lazio was hit with a 9-point deduction (a true deathblow back in the day of the two-point win) for a betting scandal involving one player, Claudio Vinazzini. An epic struggle against relegation followed the same season in Serie B, with the club led by trainer Eugenio Fascetti only avoiding relegation to the Serie C after a play-off win over Campobasso. This would prove a turning point in the club’s history, with Lazio returning to Serie A in 1988 and, under the careful financial management of Giamarco Calleri, the consolidation of the club’s position as a solid top-flight club.

The arrival of Sergio Cragnotti, in 1992, changed the club’s history forever as he was prepared to invest long term in new players for the club in order to make the team a competitor on the Serie A level. In 1993 Lazio finished fifth in Serie A, fourth in  1994, second in 1995, third in 1996, and fourth again in 1997, then it lost the championship just by one point to AC Milan on the last championship’s match in 1999 before finally winning its second scudetto in 2000, as well as the Italian Cup in an impressive and rare (by Italian standards) "double" with Sven-Goran Eriksson (1997-2001)as manager. In addition to the aforementioned one, Lazio had two other Coppa Italia triumphs in recent years, in 1998 and 2004. Lazio also won the last ever UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999 and reached the UEFA Cup final in 1998, but lost 0-3 against Inter Milan. Lazio won the Italian Super Cup twice and defeated Manchester United in 2000 to win the European Super Cup. Lazio was also the first Italian football club to be quoted on the Italian Piazza Affari stock market.

A financial scandal involving Cragnotti and his food products multinational Cirio forced him to leave the club in 2002, and Lazio was controlled until 2004 by caretaker financial managers and a bank pool. It was subsequently sold to entrepreneur Claudio Lotito, who is the current majority share owner. That summer, 36-year old former Lazio star Paolo Di Canio accepted to join the club he supported as a youth, taking a 75% paycut. The 2005-2006 season saw Lazio lose veterans such as Fernando Cauto, Paolo Negro and Giuliano Giannichedda who were let go by the club, among other things, to lower its salary expenditure. The 2005-2006 season under the coaching of Delio Rossi saw the club compete beyond all expectations with a team which blends remaining veterans such as Angelo Peruzzi and midfield fan favorites Fabio Liverani and Ousmane Dabo with an infusion of motivated players with lower salary demands. The policy had proven successful as the club qualified for the 2006/2007 UEFA Cup.

On July 14, it was announced that they had been relegated to Serie B with a 7 point penalty for their involvement in match-fixing scandal. The club’s appeal was successful and in a statement released July 25, Lazio were allowed to remain in Serie A but start with an 11 point deficit (a penalty later reduced to -3 points), and forfeit their place in the UEFA Cup.

The club plays at the 82,656 seater Stadio Olimpico, shared with A.S. Roma. The two teams play one another each year in the Rome derby, a fiery, emotional match often marked with tension and occasional crowd trouble in and around the stadium. Two extreme incidents in particular have left their mark on the history of this fixture. In 1979, Lazio fan Vincenzo Paparelli was hit in the eye and killed by a flare fired by a Roma fan from the opposite end of the stadium (entering in Italian history as the first fatal episode of football-related violence) and in 2004 an unprecedented event occurred when the Roma Ultras forced the game to be suspended after spreading false rumours among the crowd present that a child had been killed by the police prior to the beginning of the game. Last season, Lazio won the first leg of the derby 3-1, while the second leg was a 0-0 draw. During the 2005-2006 season the first leg of the derby ended in a 1-1 draw, while the second leg was won 2-0 by AS Roma.

Lazio’s ultras, or hardcore fans, have been the object of a certain amount of media scrutiny over the past few years and in particular the right-wing  label which is often used to describe them. The Irriducibili fan group in particular have acquired some notoriety over the years for the alleged association of some of its members with the Italian extra-parliamentary far right, and more specifically for alleged recruitment activity among fans. The group has also been criticised for the display of racist and anti-Semitic banners, as well as one a notorious one in February 2000 commemorating the then recently deceased Serbian paramilitary leader Zeljko Raznatovic. The latter was displayed on request by former player Sinisa Mihajlovic, though both the player and the group have always vehemently denied any political significance and insisted the banner was a reference to when the two Serbs were friends during Mihajlović’s time at Red Star Belgrade where Raznatovic was a chief supporter in the early 1990s
